Keywords to the concept
We used the recent days to think about the global concept of the visual identity.
The visual and textual research gave us a good feeling for the business and the graphical language we would like to use. Although the concept is in the initial stage, we cut down a few keywords to open a specific field in which we can explore our graphical oportunities:
1. General impression
generic / dynamic / organic / abstract
2. Typography
modern / legitimate / clean information layer
3. Form + Imagery
organic
4. Colour

We believe that the identity should be able to grow, change and develop over time, since the pool of music Mark accesses constantly evolves aswell. The genres, bands, moods, formations, styles are influenced by various factors. We think that this process should be visible in the design.
The Film- TV- and Advertising industry will be the main target group so we have to focus on the area where music and moving images come together. The keyword dynamic is obvious here.
With Form Music, Mark wants to move a bit away from techno- computeresque and artsy images, that were partially used in the artwork of his artists' releases for Vertical Form. We all agreed on a more organic look for Form Music.
Nonetheless, the typographic layer has to be well legible, clean and accurately structured.
